Top Ten Anticipated Movies of 2018

Another year, another slate of movies to get your hopes up about and be inevitably disappointed by. Though, from looking at year’s past, Sean and John have had a pretty good track record of predicting movies that end up being pretty good (John called four movies that ended up on his top ten last year!) Meanwhile, Colin aims to keep up his streak of naming movies he won’t see (he was 10 for 10 last year). That’s right, it’s the most anticipated movies of (the month old) 2018! Continue reading

Top 10 Anticipated Movies of 2017

Well, it’s the first week of the Trump presidency and we could all use a pick-me-up, am I right? Sometimes it might seem hard to look forward to the good times ahead, sometimes you might even forget those good times exist. This week, we’re here to remind you that’s absolutely not the case, there’s plenty to anticipate! Like, 20-or-so movies, for instance. And a 10 movies not to anticipate, but you can eagerly anticipate us discussing them negatively. That’s what people like us are for, the ruthless tearing down of other people’s hard work. Yay!

T3 98: Top 10 Anticipated Movies of 2016

I like to look at these anticipated movie lists as reminders that we’re not trying to hate movies. That we’re not prejudging anything, that we want to give movies like Chappie a shot. Except for Colin, who decided his role in these would be to point out the most dreadful movies a given year has coming for it. What would Colin’s most anticipated movie list look like? One can only imagine, but it probably wouldn’t fall exactly in the middle of my mainstream tastes and John’s hip, creative inclinations.

T3 85: Top 10 Anticipated Movies of 2015

I’m not so sure about Ant-Man, everybody. Marvel’s been on a hot streak because they’ve always put passionate, talented fans behind the camera for every single one of their movies. This was supposed to be the ultimate realization of that, a project Edgar Wright had been working on since 2006 (that’s two thirds of Boyhood ago!) but now we’re getting something with a modified version of the script from Adam McKay and star Paul Rudd directed by the guy who did Yes Man which is not a movie about a super hero who always gets his way. And I guess all that has dulled my excitement Where have I put my anticipation instead? Find out on this week’s Top Ten Thursday!

T3 45: Top 10 Anticipated Movies of 2013

The least anticipated podcast of the year! 2013 is doomed to be a disappointing year, this is known. It is probably going to be the year the public starts to turn against super hero movies and maybe sci fi in general. Not that that’ll stop us from looking forward to the movies we’ll get to see. After all, we’re nothing if not optimistic. Just really, really reservedly optimistic.

T3 03: Top 10 Anticipated Movies of 2012

This Thursday, the gang came up with a topic so partisan, so biased, that they decided to present their lists independently. That’s right, it’s their most anticipated movies of the year. How does one rank anticipation? Who knows. But one thing’s for sure, the guy’s definitely did talk about films they want to see. Well, except for Colin, he talks about the movies he doesn’t really want to see at all. And Matt, who finally joined in on the, is really just along for the ride. John definitely has a list, though. Sean does too, along with a bunch of failed segues. Damn it if this is not the most compelling podcast of the year!
