T3 63: Top 10 Giant Movie Monsters

Hey, so, the last episode got lost… Sort of. It sounds bad, and it’s kind of hard to fix it, and maybe someday it will be out as a bonus lost episode. But instead we push on! And by push on, I mean continue to focus on things somewhat related to Pacific Rim. Because that movie had kaiju, this week we’re talking about our own favorite giant monsters. Pretty logical path, some nice, linear thinking. Who’s your favorite movie monster? Boring conversation anyway.

T3 61: Top Stuff of 2013 So Far

2013, man. Shit’s half done. All we are is dust in the wind. This week we wallow in the fragility of mortality by talking about our favorite stuff so far this year. That means video games, TV shows, music, and movies. Consider it a preview of sorts for the big deal lists we’ll be doing in six months’ time. Except hopefully we’ll have a lot more things to talk about. And maybe not everything we bring up will make the cut next time around. There’s probably a lot of stuff that’s already out now that we should have paid more attention to, but oh well.

T3 60: Top 10 Smash Bros. Characters We’d Like to See

We only get one shot at Super Smash Bros. in a generation. The franchise-mash-up fighting series, which has already appeared on N64, Gamecube, the Wii, was recently officially announced to be coming to both the Nintendo 3DS and the Wii U. More importantly, the confirmation of Mega Man joining the fray means that Solid Snake was not a one-off deal, third party characters are apparently game in this formerly-Nintendo-exclusive series. With that in mind, join us this week as we discuss some of the characters we’d like to see show up in the next version of the game. And, as always, no items, Fox only, Final Destination.

T3 59: Top 10 Short-Lived TV Shows

Sometimes things don’t work out, for a lot of reasons. Good ol’ fashioned creative differences, tragic deaths, that sort of stuff. Sometimes they don’t work out for bullshit reasons. Like in the case of Arrested Development, which was cancelled because it was too good, I guess. But now it’s back, so that’s weird. Anyway, in honor of that, and of the cancellation of Happy Endings (boo), and I guess the beginning the summer and the great TV drouth that comes with it every year, we bring you a list of our favorite short-lived shows. That’s right, T3 is back, baby!

T3 58: Top 10 Ways to Give Up

Sorry there wasn’t an episode last week, we had some plans and then they fell apart and we just, kind of, gave up. We’re pretty good at that, actually. You see, in life, you have to make choices. Choices about how you feel about yourself and how you present yourself to society. And we’ve all made certain concessions at certain times. That line might be rigid, but we’ve all tried to find some flexibility in it before, and most likely failed. That said, listen to this episode to find out some of the most atrocious ways you can throw away your self respect.

T3 57: Top 10 Buddy Movies

We’re not experts on a lot of things over here at T3, but we are good friends. Hmm, maybe that should be the disclaimer on every episode of this podcast. Regardless, we put our friendship knowledge to good use this week by discussing our favorite buddy movies in honor of Pain and Gain. If you like heterosexual men taking about the relationships between heterosexual men, this episode is for you.

T3 56: Top 10 Albums of 1968

There’s something about the Sixties. As a society, we still can’t shake it. As a podcast, we can’t escape it either. Now that Mad Men is back, and set in a new year, so have we returned to the deep, deep well of Sixties music. Particularly, albums released in 1968. Such as… Well, I don’t want to spoil it. Why don’t you have a listen?
