As we established last week, right now we’re in film’s age of the franchise. Depending on who you ask that could have started as far back as the late seventies or as recently as the advent of the Marvel Cinematic Universe and the serialization of cinema. Previously, we focused on the positive aspects of that – the franchises that grew and delivered sequels better than their originals or became as a whole greater than any one movie.
